Marketing & Video Editing Intern

You play Magic. You can talk about your favorite tabletop games for longer than anyone asked. Maybe you’ve spent a weekend at PAX discovering a game you couldn’t stop thinking about. And you know how to turn good footage into a great video.

We’re Chaotic Great, the indie game studio behind Gudnak. We’re looking for a Marketing & Video Editing Intern who knows tabletop gaming from the inside and wants to help more people find their next favorite game.

This role is in person in Woburn, Massachusetts, two days a week. College students are encouraged to apply. You’ll need to be able to make that commute consistently.

What you’ll do

  • Shoot and edit short videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts: gameplay moments, quick explainers, product features, and behind-the-scenes stories.
  • Turn gameplay and convention footage into edits with strong hooks, clear captions, clean audio, and a reason to keep watching.
  • Pitch content ideas that make sense to tabletop players, from the first shuffle to the last wildly optimistic play.
  • Help write social posts, plan the content calendar, and prepare marketing assets for game launches and events.
  • Look at how content performs and use what you learn to make the next round better.

You know the hobby

  • Deep, hands-on tabletop game experience is essential. You regularly play card games, board games, RPGs, or miniature games and can talk clearly about what makes them work.
  • Magic: The Gathering experience is a big plus: deckbuilding, Commander nights, drafts, or time in your local game store community.
  • Attending PAX East, PAX Unplugged, Gen Con, or similar tabletop events is a big plus. Tell us what you played, discovered, or helped run.
  • You understand tabletop communities and can explain a game in a way that makes someone want to sit down and play.

You can make the content

  • Comfort editing video in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or a comparable editor.
  • A feel for pacing, storytelling, captions, and the first few seconds of a short video.
  • Clear writing, attention to detail, and the ability to take feedback and finish an edit.
  • Examples of videos you’ve made. Class projects, club content, and personal channels absolutely count; previous professional experience isn’t required.

Pay

This is a paid internship at $18–$24 per hour.

What you’ll learn

Practice the full content process for an indie tabletop studio: choosing an idea, capturing footage, editing for different platforms, and reading the results. Build experience connecting the games you love with the people who will love them next.
