Sales Manager

Full-time Salary + Commission Remote / MA preferred

We’re Chaotic Great Games, the indie publisher behind Gudnak — a tactical card game that’s picking up serious momentum. We’ve run successful Kickstarters, shown at PAX, GenCon, and GAMA, and we’re selling direct through our own store. Now we need someone to take Gudnak to every game store, bookstore, and retail shelf on the planet.

We’re looking for a full-time Sales Manager to own the retail and distribution side of our business. This is a ground-floor opportunity with a company that’s growing fast and building something people genuinely love.

What you’ll do

  • Build and manage relationships with game distributors (Alliance, ACD, Asmodee, PSI, etc.)
  • Pitch Gudnak to local game stores, hobby shops, and retail buyers — and close deals
  • Develop and execute a strategy to expand retail distribution nationally and internationally
  • Attend trade shows (GAMA, GenCon, PAX, Toy Fair) to represent Chaotic Great and generate leads
  • Manage wholesale pricing, terms, and retailer onboarding
  • Track sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and report on retail growth
  • Coordinate with our warehouse (WMS) to ensure retail orders are fulfilled smoothly
  • Identify and pursue non-traditional retail opportunities — bookstores, gift shops, conventions, subscription boxes

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years in sales, business development, or retail partnerships — ideally in tabletop games, toys, or consumer products
  • Existing relationships with game distributors or retail buyers is a huge plus
  • Comfortable with cold outreach — you can pick up the phone, send the email, walk into the store
  • Understanding of wholesale/retail economics (margins, MAP, terms, consignment)
  • Self-starter who can build a sales process from scratch
  • Genuine enthusiasm for tabletop games and the indie game community
  • Massachusetts-based preferred but fully remote works for the right person
  • Bonus: experience with international distribution
  • Bonus: existing network in the FLGS (friendly local game store) world

Compensation

Base salary plus commission on retail sales you bring in. We want you to eat what you kill — the better you do, the more you make. This isn’t a capped commission structure. If you get Gudnak into Target, you will be compensated accordingly.

Full-time, flexible hours, fully remote. Travel to trade shows and key accounts covered. Free Gudnak product always included (obviously).
